Egboh flashed some potential as a freshman but a broken leg cut short his season after four games. He managed to be in on 15 tackles, 2.5 for loss, and a sack before the injury. As a sophomore he came back and had a solid season, finishing with 45 tackles, 5.5 for loss, and 1.5 sacks. As a junior, he continued to improve this time upping his totals to 49/13.5/6 for the season.
Strengths
Egboh is a true physical specimen. He has a long and lean frame, and should be able to get even bigger at the next level without hurting his athleticism. He is also a tremendous natural athlete, with very good agility and change of direction skill for a player his size. Egbohs natural talent allows him to get penetration and disrupt the action on a consistent basis because most lineman cannot match his combination of gifts.
Weaknesses
Egboh is a work in progress. His long frame actually hurts him quite a bit right now because it gives blockers a big target to lock on to. He gets too upright out of his stance his lineman can get their hands on him and take him out of the play. Egboh will have to learn to keep his pads down on a consistent basis to reach his potential.
Future
Egboh may be one of the top workout warriors in the draft, and could go higher than most think on draft day if he performs like he should after the season. He has a lot of potential, but will need a coach that can tap into that.
