Manningham is an exciting receiver prospect. He is a fantastic athlete. His best trait may be his ability to adjust to the football while it is in the air. His body control is top notch and he will be a threat down the field in the NFL. He has very good quickness, and accelerates very quickly to reach top speed.
Manningham has only average size. He may not be able to match up with bigger, more physical corners at the next level. He will need to get stronger to be more than just a big play threat.
Manningham has declared in a year that is shaping up to be very deep in terms of potential at the WR spot. There is no clearcut receiver at the top, but Manningham failed to distinguish himself at the combine. He ran a sub par 4.6 40 at the combine, where many other top receivers posted impressive times. He made up some ground running in the low 4.4's at his pro day, but Manningham may only have pushed himself into the second round.
