Bernadeau began his career as a tackle but has settled in as a guard. He is a three time all conference selection, and earned All America honors as a senior despite playing just six games because of a knee injury.
Bernadeau has shown some versatility at the D2 level, playing both tackle and guard. He is a good athlete that shows the lateral agility to change direction, and the mobility to get out and block on the move. In the running game, he has shown the ability to dominate at the point of attack and drive defenders off the football. His all around talent gives him a lot of upside at the guard position.
The level of competition is obviously the big knock on Bernadeaus resume. He simply has not faced the best competition and nobody knows how he will fare against bigger and better players. He appears to have what it takes, but the jump undoubtedly will require him to be more focused and get stronger to match up better.
Bernadeau missed the last half of his senior year with a knee injury, but he will be fine. He has the talent to play in the NFL, he just needs to make a big jump in levels. He is a player on Day Two that has a lot of upside and could make an impact if he can acclimate himself quickly in the NFL.
