Jordan Dizon LB 6' 229 Colorado 4.75

Dizon had an excellent rookie year with the Buffs, earning Big 12 Defensive Newcomer of the Year honors after finishing with 82 tackles, six for loss, and a sack as a freshman in 2004. As a sophomore he had another solid season, finishing with 61 tackles, seven for loss, and three sacks. Dizon broke out as a junior with 137 tackles, 11 for loss, and four sacks on the year, earning Big 12 2nd team honors. He ended his Buff career with an amazing 160 tackles, 11 for loss, and four sacks.

Dizon is as tough as they come. He will not back down from anyone, and will battle anyone that comes between him and the ball carrier. He is very aggressive, but has the instincts to stay within himself and not overrun plays. He reacts quickly and flies to the football to make plays. He has the quickness and speed to make plays up and down the line of scrimmage, and is a force all over the football field.

Size is about the only thing Dizon lacks, but that is a big deal. He is short and simply lacks the overall bulk to be anything more than a weakside linebacker. He can be overpowered once a blocker gets their hands on him, and taken out of the play completely.

Dizon has all the traits you look for in a weakside linebacker aside from size. He is active and always around the football, but his lack of size may limit him in the NFL.
