Adams had just 33 tackles his first two years as a Wolverine, but he was a standout his last two seasons. He had 47 tackles and an interception as a junior in 2006. He saved his best for last, finishing with a career high 92 tackles and three picks as a senior this past year.
Adams has all the talent to be a standout safety at the next level. He has good size, and is an active defender coming towards the line of scrimmage. He is tough and willing to come up and throw his body around in run support. Adams also is a very good athlete, and has the speed to cover a lot of ground.
Adams has never been a big playmaker despite his natural gifts. He is out of position at times and does not locate the ball very well. He will also lose ground in coverage when asked to play man coverage.
Adams is a safety that has the talent to play in the NFL, but doesnt seem to be a natural on the field. He has potential and should be able to make an impact on special teams which should allow him to find a home while he becomes more disciplined on the field.
