Ugoh played as a true freshman, but a knee injury allowed him to take a medical redshirt. He returned to the field in 2003, and towards the end of the year started to make his mark. He was a fixture at left tackle from that point on. Ugoh was a two sport athlete at Arkansas, also competing in track and field(discuss, weight throw, and shot put).
Tony Ugoh has a great blend of talent. Physically, he is a very good athlete, that displays good lateral agility. He has a great frame with room for more growth, and already shows very good strength. On the field he has the ability to move side to side to protect his quarterback, and can get movement in run blocking.
While Ugoh is strong, hes going to need to pack on more weight to hold his ground in the NFL. He needs to bulk up in his lower body to have a stronger base in run blocking. He also gets a little sloppy at times in pass protection, and may need some time to become more consistent protecting his quarterbacks blind side.
Ugoh has all the talent to be a very good NFL tackle, and a strong senior year has pushed him up draft boards. If he fill out his frame some before the draft, he may draw more consideration near the end of the first round. He is battle tested in the SEC, and has a lot of untapped potential.
