Very few college players have had as much success over a two year period as Jason Hill. Hill played as a freshman, but didnt record any stats. As a sophomore, he burst onto the scene with 45 catches for 1,007 yards and 12 TDs. As a junior, he again posted outstanding numbers, this time finishing with 62 catches for 1,097 yards and 13 touchdowns. Hill missed two games as a senior, and he only managed to catch 41 balls for 600 yards and seven touchdowns.
Hill is a talented all around wide. He can do a little bit of everything. He has good speed, and shows the ability to get behind the secondary and be a vertical threat. He has a solid frame, and is willing to go over the middle to make plays. He is also a good athlete that has shown very good body control on the field.
While there is nothing Hill cant do on the field, he really does not possess any outstanding physical trait. He is not a true burner that will fly by defenders, and he does not have great size to physically outmatch defensive backs.
Jason Hill is a very solid wide receiver prospect. He can make plays all over the field, and he shows an advanced set of skills. While he may not have any game breaking physical traits, he is a player that could have a lot of success in the NFL. He had some impressive times in the 40 at the combine, but he does not play to that speed. He could hear his name called as early as the second round, but appears to be a solid bet for the third round.
